Testimonies about FamilyLife

Brad Kazmaier, a current ministry partner had this to say:

"My wife Jennifer and I hosted FamilyLife’s weekend retreat called The Art of Marriage (a DVD series) and were positively surprised at the quality of meaningfulness of the material. Since being involved in FamilyLife I’ve said, "They support marriages that are ‘on the rocks’ and marriages that are ‘rock solid’ and everything in between". The resources they have are available by web, live phone help, seminar, DVD, small groups, and individual missionaries like Nathan and Jennifer and cover topics from trouble with teenagers to men stepping up for their family to saving marriages. If you see the demoralization of society through degradation of the family as I see, then you can benefit from knowing about FamilyLife."

An email we received from a couple we helped send to a Weekend to Remember in June 2011.

"Over the past ten years, we gradually experienced the drift and were floating further and further away from each other. I was essentially ready to give up, planning to file for separation this month. When I heard about FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember, I said we would attend and "see how it goes". So, with an open mind, we went. The weekend really helped us. We have been able to really understand each other and in a non-combative way speak and listen to each other. Needless to say, we have a LOT of work to do. However, after the Weekend to Remember we are no longer floating away from each other in the big sea of life. We are turning the boats around and working to achieve a state “oneness” that we both desire and that God intends for US. Has this weekend "saved" our marriage? I really feel like it has given us the tools to save our marriage. With prayer and a focused effort on our part, our marriage very well can be salvaged. God willing, we still have many years ahead of us, it is not too late for us. I would encourage anyone, no matter what stage they are in their marriage to try to attend. It is a life changing experience. "

Comments from people that attended The Art of Marriage event hosted by members of our church in February of 2011.

"I learned to honor my wife more for the beautiful person she is!"
Dennis Kramme

"We attended The Art of Marriage and would recommend it to anyone! Charlie was initially hesitant to go, but agreed since I wanted to go. Once we got there he thanked me for signing us up. We had a great time and did not want to leave. The videos were entertaining, yet made you think. It was really fun sharing the experience with a small group of people too. We both felt really refreshed and I have been printing off articles and plan to order some books from Family Life to keep the mind set going. After we got home, we decided it was the best weekend we'd had since our honeymoon. We both felt so lucky that we got to go. It really is hard to describe, you just have to do it!"

Comments from some of the couples we were able to help send to the Weekend to Remember Marriage Getaway in St. Louis in November of 2010.

"We had an INCREDIBLY AMAZING weekend!! Weekend to Remember was the best thing that has happened to us in a long time. I Praise God for doing mighty and great things!"
Lauren Sloan

"We had a fantastic weekend all around, but to me the best part was that my husband accepted Christ as his Savior and invited Him into his heart at last! Praise the Lord!"
Liberty Edwards

"This Weekend to Remember has transformed our marriage in countless ways, beyond describable words. It truly is something you have to experience for yourself. My husband and I intend to attend on a yearly basis. We owe it to God, and our children. To honor our vows and both be good role models for the next generation."
Michelle Frost

"There are a lot of men out there that need to hear this message."
Don Walker
